Roderick Thomas’s path to becoming an attorney was anything but traditional. Once a high school dropout, he refused to be defined by his economic status, race, or disability. Through determination and academic excellence, he earned his Associate of Arts degree from Valencia College, achieving membership in the Phi Theta Kappa National Honor Society. He went on to earn a Bachelor of Arts degree in Organizational Communications from Rollins College. As a student at Rollins College, Mr. Thomas achieved a scholarship for his academic excellence. He achieved his longtime dream of graduating from FAMU College of Law, becoming licensed to practice in September 2024.

Mr. Thomas built his foundation in criminal defense, beginning as a legal intern and law clerk at the Public Defender’s Office. During law school, he represented clients through the Criminal Defense Clinic, interned at two prominent criminal defense firms in Central Florida, and served as a law clerk for both county and circuit court judges. These experiences culminated in over ten years of legal experience, giving him invaluable insight into the judicial process and shaping his approach to thoughtful, strategic representation.

Today, Mr. Thomas brings the same passion and determination that fueled his academic journey to his work as a practicing attorney, helping clients navigate the legal system with compassion and skill. He remains deeply committed to community service through his involvement with the Florida Bar Association, the National Federation for the Blind, and Men’s Mentoring and Fellowship at his local church. He and his wife live in Orlando.
